Locum Band 6/7/8 Community Psychiatric Nurse and Senior Mental Health Practitioners to join their CAMHS Team.

We are looking for a dynamic individuals to join our team as Senior Mental Health Practitioners (Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers with mental health experience) and ensure we are delivering outstanding services to the children and young people of the Community CAMHS catchment area. The service is based in Swindon and works with young people up to 18 years old who experience a range of difficulties associated with their mental health. You would be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team who offer assessment, treatment, and consultation either in the clinic base or out in the community.
The role will include undertaking the assessment of the young person's mental health needs, collaborative formulation and providing the treatment plan drawing on a variety of interventions that may involve multi-agency networking where necessary.
Main duties / Experience
In this role, you will undertake comprehensive assessments of young people with mental health needs, risk assessment and management including the need for positive risk taking is an important part of the role.
• Experience as a Band 6, or equivalent, Mental Health professional
• Understanding and experience of working with children and young people with a wide range of mental health needs or relevant Mental Health experience
• Experience of and commitment to working in a multiagency setting working in partnership with a range of health, social care and education professionals
• Experience of working with young adults or young people or experience of working in a community setting
• Experience of care coordination/role of Lead Professional
• Ability to carry out assessments and psycho-social Interventions.
