​​​​​​​Our clients in Essex are urgently seeking to recruit a
Band 7 Senior CAMHS Practitioner to join their Emotional Wellbeing Mental Health Service.
Hours: 37.5hrs per week. Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Job Summary
The post holder will provide a specialist service to children and young people with intellectual disabilities, and their families, who are referred to CAMHS-LD team due to concerns about their psychological wellbeing. Clinical work will consist of highly specialist assessment and therapy in addition to advice, consultation and psychoeducation to colleagues across agencies and to other non-professional carers in a client’s network. The post holder will form part of the CAMHS-LD multi-disciplinary team where they will work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines to provide holistic care. They will provide care in schools and client homes as well as clinic settings and will work extensively with other agencies including education, social care, other health providers, and adult services. In addition to the delivery of clinical assessments and interventions the post holder will be required to co-ordinate patient care and manage clinical risks.
The post holder is expected to be able to work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of clinical practice within the service/team.
Other responsibilities include the following:
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.
To provide consultation, teaching, advice and training to other professionals and staff working with these children and young people.
