Our clients in South West London are urgently seeking to recruit a
Locum Band 7 CPN to join their CAMHS Service.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
The role of Mental Health Practitioner is to work closely with clinicians in Primary Care Networks to assess, diagnose and treat clients with significant mental illness.
This key interface role between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services will provide assessment and interventions for clients presenting with a wide range of mental health needs.
The Mental Health Practitioner will provide dedicated support and presence within primary care settings, to both work with clients and offer advice for primary care colleagues to plan appropriate and timely Interventions.
These evidence-based therapeutic interventions will include psycho-education, brief solution focused therapy, behavioural activation, as well as reviewing and monitoring medication, in line with NICE Guidance and in-liaison with the Locality Consultant Psychiatrist.
This role will require developing and maintaining an effective interface with Clinicians in secondary Mental Health Services, including the team Locality Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychological Therapy Pathway leads.
A key part of the role is to build long-term relationships and improve communications with Primary Care colleagues, Voluntary Care Sector colleagues and Community Mental Health Services.
