Our clients in Sussex are urgently looking to recruit a Locum Band 7 Clinical Psychologist to join their Adolescent Unit.
Hours: 3 days per week between Monday and Friday.
Job Description
Chalkhill is a modern purpose built 16-bedded Child and Adolescent inpatient service. It provides an inpatient and day service for young people aged 12-18 presenting with a wide range of difficulties requiring assessment and/or treatment, including psychosis, eating disorders, anxiety, depression and emotional dysregulation.
The successful post holder will be expected to offer specialist psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and consultation. You will work alongside other members of the psychology and therapies team in addition to nursing and medical colleagues, support staff and managers. Our clients are looking for candidates who are interested in delivering both individual and group work and who are keen to drive change, implement practice development initiatives, and maintain standards set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Quality Network for Inpatient CAMHS (QNIC).
If you have great communication skills, and a passion for helping young people and their families, then you would fit in with our team ethos of young person and family centred care. We link in closely with our Child & Young People crisis and home treatment service (Urgent Help Service) who help support admission avoidance and early discharge from inpatient care. We also link with the newly developed and expanding community crisis services.
This is an exciting time to join a growing service, which has recently developed a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy provision for young people. We are advocates for service user and staff collaboration in service improvement initiatives, and our work to highlight the need for more staff has been one such joint successful project.
You must be able to demonstrate a caring, compassionate and non-judgmental attitude, and show a commitment to making a difference when supporting young people and their families on their recovery journeys.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity and would like to find out more, please call Lauren - 07552277905(New Registrants) or Georgia 07552277896(Existing Registrants)or alternatively please email recruitment@westmeriarecruitment.co.uk.
