Our clients in Central North West London are urgently seeking a Band 7 Registered Mental Health Nurse to join their Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week: Core hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with some flexibility.
The post holder will provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high quality care to children, young people and families. They will act as an expert clinical practitioner in the area of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and be a visible role model, mentor and leader, creating a culture that promotes learning, development, inquiry and professionalism, celebrates achievements and shares learning for benefit of the patient and ward staff.
Manage the ward and resource effectively by ensuring appropriate staffing levels of skill mix and experience to manage the rota.
To promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice.
To undertake delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of the Ward Manager Key working relationships Internal: Nurses, Doctors, administrative team, physiotherapists, pharmacists, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychotherapists, IT staff, chaplains dieticians and housekeeping staff and other teams within SK&C
External: Families, GPs, other hospitals, local health authorities, social services, community services, schools local CAMHS.
