​​Our clients in South London are urgently seeking to recruit a
Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join their Locality Team.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Job Summary
The post holder will work as a member of the Locality Team and to support the Team Manager who is responsible for effectively managing a multi-professional team including Peer Workers, Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Associate Mental Health Workers , Employment Specialists, Dual Diagnosis Workers and Administrative staff.
To work in partnership with staff in the delivery of an integrated service which offers active Care Co-ordination and Care Management for people with complex bio- psycho-social needs and to their family and carers.
To assist in the effective delivery of the teams core functions, key performance indicators and lead on clinical supervision within the team.
To lead the development of protocols, procedures and systems in order to integrate practice across the borough wide service.
To work cohesively with senior management to provide a responsive and innovative service delivering a high quality mental health service to the people of Barnet, Enfield or Haringey and provide clinical advice and support to other professions within the mental health care setting and related statutory and non statutory agencies.
To provide professional leadership within SELT and support the team manager and staff in implementing evidence-based practice and promoting practice based evidence in psycho-social interventions.
To provide effective care within a multidisciplinary team setting for people experiencing complex mental health problems who are living in the community. Assess care needs, devise care programmes and implement and evaluate these in collaboration with individual service users and carers.
Ensure service users are involved with all aspects of planning and delivery of their own care plans and also in the development of the service.
Support, appraise and provide formal, on-going clinical supervision and caseload management supervision to junior and less experienced staff as directed
To undertake duties designed to extend clinical and managerial expertise as delegated by the manager when required. This will include deputising in the absence of the CLT Manager
