Our clients in West London are urgently seeking to recruit a Locum Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner to join their CAMHS Service.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
The Post holder will: -
To undertake generic and specialist mental health assessments for children and families referred to the Community CAMHS service in a variety of settings e.g. clinic, children’s centres, schools and nurseries.
To provide specialist assessments and treatment to children, young people and their families as appropriate in a variety settings i.e. children’s centres, schools and nurseries.
To formulate and implement plans for formal treatment and or/management of mental health difficulties experienced by children and families presenting to Community CAMHS in line with research findings and evidence-based practice.
During the therapeutic process, to continuously evaluate treatment/therapy options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processed that have shaped the individual child/young person or family. CAMHS Clinicians are expected to use specialist outcome measures to support evaluation of treatment; this is in line with transformational plans within CAMHS contexts also.
To take case manager responsibility for child mental health care packages in the treatment of complex cases, taking responsibility for arranging network/professional reviews as required.
