Our clients in Oxford are urgently seeking to recruit a Band 6 or 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join their Getting More Help Service (CAMHS)
Hours: 37.5 hours between Monday and Friday, can be flexible with shift times.
The post holder will:-
Work in a small team that responds to duty requests on behalf of the Getting More Help CAMHS Service, regularly working on duty alongside a core CAMHS clinician, who rotates into duty each day.
Be responsible for contributing to duty and participating in the urgent assessments of young people that are undertaken each day.
Be managing the day to day activities associated with duty, undertaking assessments, returning urgent calls, and using robust triaging and risk management skills. Assessments will be allocated depending on the clinical need of the patient and the post holders experience with core colleagues available to support with formulation and risk management.
Knowledge of emotional and mental health problems that affect children.
Knowledge of how to assess risk and develop safety/management plans.
Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable children and adults.
Understanding and track record of good organisational and time management skills
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
Previous experience of working in CAMHS or a Crisis setting.
