Our clients in Oxford are urgently seeking to recruit a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join their Intellectual Disabilities Service.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
About the Service
Our team is built on the desire to improve the quality of life for the families, carers, young people and their supporters.
We are passionate about creating personalised care and persevering to find a solution when the rest of the system is stuck.
We seek to enable families and supporters to overcome behaviours that challenge and advocate for the young people with a desire to see them find a place of belonging in their world.
We are a supportive and fun team with plenty of opportunity for personal growth and learning.
If you are looking for a role where you can make a difference, the opportunity to think creatively in a highly adapted way, and work in an environment where you are constantly learning from your colleagues, experiences, and the young people we work with then this is the role for you.
Home working will be available once IT equipment has been collected.
This is a full-time role for at least 3 months, part time applications will be considered. Start ASAP.
A lot of the work is done in the community and a base office is available in order to make working around school and home visits easier.
Previous experience of working with this group of young people would be ideal however if you share our common values, we can support you to learn everything you need to know to work with our team.
You will need a car as travelling is required
