Our clients in South London are urgently seeking a Band 6CPN to join their CAMHS Service.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
The post holder will be a care coordinator and provide therapeutic support for children, young people and families of the CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Pathway, which is part of the River Team (Tier 3 service). This will include clinical assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes for children and young people with Autism and Learning Disabilities across the tiers of intervention in CAMHS. The post holder will be available to deliver groups to support the wellbeing of children, young people and families referred to the service. The post holder will carry out risk assessments with children & young people with neuro-diverse presentations inc ASD, LD, ADHD for example; work under the supervision of the team manager and senior clinical supervisor to manage these situations effectively. In addition, the post holder will be part of the 7-day Follow-up and duty rotas for the service, which can involve assessing children and families who have sought support in crisis or presented at A&E, assessing new referrals, telephone queries and supporting the team where necessary. Some work may be on generic cases which have been prioritised. The role may also involve an opportunity to provide, support, training and advice for junior team members and/or other clinicians on issues of neurodiversity across the service.
