Our clients in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey are urgently seeking to recruit a Band 5 Vaccinator to join their Service.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Summary
To be a member of the Infection Prevention and Control Team flu campaign, providing flu and Covid 19 Vaccination Services for the Trust.
The post holder will:-
  • Act as an advocate for the Trust and its contribution to the Public Health through creating and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships with staff and stakeholders.
  • Develop and support the Trust culture of collaborative, flexible cross-tam working and commitment to delivering the trust flu and covid 19 vaccination campaign.
  • Work with sensitivity and an understanding of the issues facing those working to deliver health services.
  • Comply with corporate governance structure in keeping with the principles and standards set out by the Trust.
  • Aid in improving accessibility of flu and covid 19 jabs, dispel misconceptions and help tackle situations where wards, areas or people are negative towards vaccination.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of the annual flu vaccination programme and any covid-19 vaccinations to protect staff, reduce sickness absence during winter pressures and to reduce possibility of flu epidemic within the Trust. Participate in the planning and delivery of flu vaccination clinics offered to all Trust staff.
  • Liaise with Senior professionals and related functions to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated. Build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in the shared projects, programmes or tasks as required.
  • Development of an organisational culture, that fosters collaborative working among all staff groups to ensure a focused commitment to delivering quality services and outcomes.
  • Increase the level of knowledge and skills within the Trust through documenting key learning.
  • To be aware of and work in accordance with the policies, procedures and values of the Trust as appropriate in Occupational Health, utilising resources appropriately. Maintain high professional services as set out by the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Participate in the management of the flu vaccination campaign, maintain records on a day to day basis. Access, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of staff in relation to flu vaccination.
  • Maintain stocks in the treatment room. Ensure vaccinations are ordered maintaining adequate supplies to cover demands and stored according to policy.
